On March 26, 2026, following rigorous evaluation by the jury panel of the Organizing Committee of the 3rd Hainan International Yacht Design Award, the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for the two competition tracks have been officially announced.

Since its launch last year, this competition has received an enthusiastic response. A total of 110 design entries have been collected, including 11 overseas works from seven countries such as the United States, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines. Both the registration scale and the number of entries have reached record highs, fully demonstrating the event’s growing international influence and industry appeal.

Closely aligned with the cutting-edge trends of the yacht industry's development, this year's competition features two themed tracks. Track 1 focuses on catamarans ranging from 45 to 55 feet in length, tailored for family vacations, encouraging the adoption of innovative technologies such as green materials, new energy power systems, and intelligent control systems. Track 2 targets ocean-going intelligent expedition superyachts with a length of no less than 100 feet, recommending a cruising range of over 5,000 nautical miles and the integration of artificial intelligence navigation assistance systems and professional expedition equipment. In terms of yacht layout and interior style, the competition specially advocates the incorporation of local cultural elements such as Hainan Li ethnic totems, ocean waves, and coconut groves, or the combination of Southeast Asian tropical styles with Chinese garden aesthetics. This drives the in-depth integration of culture and design, highlighting the unique charm and global vision of "Hainan Design".

Following the preliminary evaluation held on March 5, 2026, 16 entries were shortlisted for Track One and 15 entries for Track Two. During the subsequent optimization phase, all shortlisted designers further refined and polished their works before submitting the final versions. On March 26, 2026, the jury conducted a rigorous item-by-item scoring process in accordance with strict evaluation criteria. Ultimately, the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for each track were determined based on the comprehensive overall scores of the entries.

In accordance with the event arrangements, the winners will be invited to attend the awards ceremony held during the opening ceremony of the Sanya International Yacht Sub-exhibition Area of the 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) on the evening of April 15, 2026, to witness the emergence of rising stars in yacht design.

Guided by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hainan Province and supported by the Sanya Bureau of Science, Technology, Industry, and Information Technology, the 3rd Hainan International Yacht Design Award is hosted by the Sanya CBD Administration, undertaken by Sanya CBD Development Group Co., Ltd and Hainan Marine Trade Exchange Services Co.,Ltd . With the tenet of "Facing the Future, Yacht Design Leads Industrial Development" and the vision of "Making Yacht Design Serve People's Daily Life", the competition is gradually becoming an important window for Chinese yacht design to go global and for global design to converge in China.
